ONNI DILETTO E OGNI BEL PIACERE The concert
offers a sacred and profane repertory of music ranging
from Continental Europe to the Mediterranean Countries,
belonging to the XIII and XIV century.
This concert is a tribute to the meeting between East and West in
the medieval world.
A leading role in this exchange of different sounds and cultures is
not only played by the repertory offered, but also by the musical
instruments. Voice and instruments coming from the
western musical world such as recorders, ciaramella,
hurdy-gurdy and medieval harp are
combined with the instruments of the Arabian tradition: oud,
darabukka, bendir, with the Persian
santur and the Scandinavian keyed vielle.
The concert can be performed in places with a good natural
resonance (ancient churches, halls, cloisters) or in open spaces with
amplification as indicated on the stage-plan (available on request).
The performance (about 70 minutes) is suitable for
theatre festivals and music seasons.
It needs a concert hall or a little theatre with good acoustics.
